NAME OF A HORROR MOVIE?

It was 1979 I think, i thought it was called the people who lived under the stairs but turns out thats a 90s wes craven film. This one was like this woman tries to tell her husband that there are creatures in their house stalkting her. Thers also a pretty creepy shower scene. It's kinda of like gremlins. Maybe it is.
