I need more movie I.D. help please!!!?

I remember only the most important parts of this movie.These children are sleeping and this little gremlin thing attacks the children while their sleeping by taking their souls and the parents thinks it is the family cat smothering the kids.Then at the end of the movie the parents see what is hurting the kids and the cat kills the gremlin thing and saves the kid and they all thank the cat :P you guys have been a lot of help in I.D.ing the movies I can't remember.Thanks a lot.
